Certified financial statement translation in Panama

A certified translation of financial statements, balance sheets or account statements in Panama is signed and sealed by a Certified Public Translator (TPA) registered with MIRE, under Executive Decree 975 of 2017. It is priced by word, from $20 for the first 250 words. Foreign companies and investors usually need it for the SEM regime, public tenders, corporate bank accounts and residency processes that ask you to prove solvency.

What do you need your financial statements translated for?

How much does it cost?

Financial statements are priced by word: $20 covers the first 250-word page and each additional word adds $0.08, with no rounding up to full pages. Panama's 7% ITBMS tax is added on top. A short account statement runs about $35–55; audited statements with notes run $135 or more. Documents over 10 pages get a special volume price, and companies with recurring volume can be invoiced monthly, on terms arranged with our team.

How long does it take?

Standard delivery takes up to 3 business days. Express delivers in 1 business day (+50%), and Same-day (+100%) applies only when you pay before 11:00 a.m. and a translator is available. These timelines apply to documents of up to 10 pages (2,500 words); for longer documents we prepare a special volume price and confirm the timeline on WhatsApp. You see the exact timeline in your quote before paying.

How does it work?

  1. 1Upload your document in the online quote or send it on WhatsApp.
  2. 2Get your exact quote in under 60 seconds; if your document is longer than 10 pages, we prepare a special volume price.
  3. 3Pay with Yappy from your app; confirmation is instant.
  4. 4A Certified Public Translator (TPA) registered with MIRE translates, signs and seals your document.
  5. 5Receive the signed and sealed PDF by WhatsApp or email at no cost, plus the printed original at your door: free in Panama City when your order adds up to 6 pages or more (one page = 250 words); $3 for 1 to 5 pages.

Do you need an apostille before or after the translation?

Account statements and balance sheets are usually filed with the certified translation alone, signed and sealed by a TPA under Executive Decree 975 of 2017. Some processes also ask for an apostilled or authenticated bank certificate. When an apostille applies, it goes on the original in the issuing country first, and then we translate it in Panama so the apostille is included. Lingo does not apostille documents: the issuing authority or your lawyer handles that step.

Frequently asked questions

Will the translation work for an SEM application or a public tender?
A certified translation by a TPA registered with MIRE is what these processes accept when financial statements are in another language. Each entity sets its own requirements, whether it is the SEM Technical Secretariat under Law 41 of 2007 or the agency running a tender. We deliver your audited statements translated, signed and sealed, ready to add to the file your lawyer or finance team is building.
How much does it cost to translate financial statements?
It is priced by word: $20 covers the first 250-word page and each additional word adds $0.08, plus 7% ITBMS. A 1,000-word balance sheet, for example, costs $80, or $85.60 with tax. Audited statements with notes often run $135 or more, and anything over 10 pages gets a special volume price. You see the exact total before any work starts.
Do you translate the auditor's report, the notes and the tables too?
Yes, the full set, because the reviewing entity assesses the company from all of it. Every figure is reproduced exactly as it appears on the original. Long statements are priced on their real word count, at $0.08 per word after the first 250 words, and statements over 10 pages get a special volume price with a delivery timeline confirmed by our team before you pay.
How do you protect confidential financial information?
We follow Panama's Law 81 of 2019: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and automatic deletion 60 days after delivery. Only the assigned TPA opens your statements, under a confidentiality and data processing agreement. For corporate clients, we agree additional controls based on the volume you send us, so a recurring monthly or quarterly flow stays under the same rules.
Can you translate our Panamanian financial statements into English?
Yes. We translate financial statements from Spanish into English or German, not only into Spanish, signed and sealed by a TPA registered with MIRE. English costs $20 per 250-word page plus $0.08 per additional word; German costs $25 plus $0.10. If an audit report is going abroad, the receiving entity may ask for an apostille, which you arrange with the issuing authority or your lawyer.
