Do you need an apostille before or after the translation?

A private contract usually needs no apostille, only the certified translation by a TPA registered with MIRE under Executive Decree 975 of 2017. If it was notarized abroad, or you will file it with an authority, the original may need an apostille in the country where it was signed, before we translate it, so the apostille is translated too. You arrange that with the issuing authority or your lawyer, never with Lingo. Your quote tells you what applies.

How do you keep a sensitive contract confidential?

We follow Panama's Law 81 of 2019: files are encrypted with AES-256 at rest, travel over TLS and are deleted automatically 60 days after delivery.
