A certified translation of a public deed or foreign notarial act in Panama is signed and sealed by a Certified Public Translator (TPA) registered with MIRE, under Executive Decree 975 of 2017. It covers notarial deeds such as property deeds, mortgages, donations and corporate deeds executed in another language. Deeds are long, so the price is per word, from $20 for the first 250 words. Do you need an apostille before or after the translation?

A deed executed abroad is normally apostilled in the country where it was signed, then translated in Panama so the apostille appears inside the translation and the Public Registry accepts it. Depending on the use, your notary or lawyer then protocolizes it. Will a deed signed abroad work in Panama once it is translated?
To take effect in Panama, a deed executed abroad normally needs an apostille and a Spanish translation by a TPA registered with MIRE, and it is often protocolized before a Panamanian notary and recorded at the Public Registry. We deliver the certified translation, signed under Executive Decree 975 of 2017. The protocolization and the recording are handled by your notary or lawyer.

Yes. We translate the whole deed as you send it: the body of the act, the notary's certification, stamps, signatures, margin notes and the apostille, reproduced in full so the notary or the Public Registry in Panama can accept it. Nothing is summarized. Each translation is signed and sealed by a TPA registered with MIRE under Executive Decree 975 of 2017.
Which languages can you translate a deed from?
Today we translate English ↔ Spanish and German ↔ Spanish, so a deed signed in the US or Germany can be put into Spanish, and a Panamanian deed into English or German. German costs $25 for the first 250-word page plus $0.10 per additional word; a 1,000-word German deed comes to $107.00 with tax. Portuguese, French, Italian and Mandarin are coming soon.
Do you handle the deed confidentially?
Yes. We follow Panama's Law 81 of 2019: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit and automatic deletion 60 days after delivery. Only the assigned TPA accesses your deed, under a confidentiality and data processing agreement signed before receiving any order. Property values, names and ID numbers in the deed stay between you, the translator and our team.
