Do you need an apostille before or after the translation?

A passport translation normally does not need an apostille: the certification of a TPA registered with MIRE under Executive Decree 975 of 2017 is enough. Some banking or consular procedures ask for the translator's signature to be authenticated by a notary instead. Lingo does not offer notarization, so that step is done directly at a notary's office. Is it safe to send a photo of my passport?

Can I use the translation for a residency application or a contract?
